Join Us in Fighting Climate Change:
Support the Optimal Mix
We optimally fund a mix of greenhouse gas* reduction methods to maximize the power of donations
↑ global temperature anomalies by NASA
* Greenhouse gases (GHGs) such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) trap heat in Earth’s atmosphere.

How can we solve climate change, our existential problem?
Government policies, corporate initiatives, and university research all play critical roles. But we as individuals hold incredible power, too. By making thoughtful lifestyle changes and supporting climate-focused nonprofits, we can drive real change. Imagine the financial power we collectively have!
But how can we use that power maximally? That’s where No More CO2 comes in.
No More CO2 maximizes the power of donations
to tackle the climate crisis
1. We determine an optimal mix
We determine an optimal mix of solutions for the greatest CO2 reduction per dollar spent by estimating the cost-to-impact ratios of various climate solutions based on the report by Project Drawdown.
2. We fund the best organizations
We select the best organizations for those climate solutions and distribute your donations according to the optimal mix.
3. We don’t waste your donations
We ensure that 100% of your donation goes to climate-saving organizations. All operational costs of No More CO2 are fully covered by our own contributions, not yours.

Our mission is to make climate saving easy for everyone
Your donation will support planting trees, managing refrigerant, sending biogas stoves to a village, promoting agroforestry, preserving farmland, etc,
all in a cost-effective manner.

We have made these contributions since FY2021
We distribute 100% of public donations to climate-saving organizations.
| distr. % | climate solution | nonprofit organization for climate solution |
|---|---|---|
| 46.5% | Tree Plantations | One Tree Planted |
| 30.9% | Refrigerant Management | North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council |
| 11.7% | Biogas for Cooking | Heifer International: Biogas Stoves for a Village |
| 8.5% | Agroforestry: Tree Intercropping | Savanna Institute |
| 1.2% | Farmland Restoration | Community Farm Land Trust |
| 1.2% | Biochar Production | United States Biochar Initiative |

Earth’s carbon sinks are being pushed to their limits

An alarming new study has revealed that Earth’s major carbon sinks are nearing their limits, signaling that natural processes may soon be unable to compensate for rising greenhouse gas emissions. According to research published in the journal Ecosystem Health and Sustainability , the world’s terrestrial carbon absorption capacity has […]

Midwest builders are using wood in a new way to construct high rises. And it’s climate-friendly

On the northern edge of downtown Milwaukee, one high rise is not like the others. A typical tall apartment building is held up by steel and cement — the Ascent is made of wood. But it’s not just any old lumber. The top 19 floors of the 25-story building are made with cross-laminated timber or CLT, an engineered wood created by layering and gluing lumber in a crossing pattern to form massive, strong beams. […]

The Carbon Soil Opportunity: Organic Farming Helps Counter Climate Change

Climate change is no longer an abstraction. I can literally see it at my front door. My figs ripened in October 2024, which has never happened before as it was never warm enough during that month. In my home state of Oregon, wildfires set new records this year, with almost 2 million acres burned. Meanwhile, […]

New faculty member studies how to leverage microbial forces to combat climate change

The air we breathe is a direct result of the dirt under our feet. Trillions upon trillions of soil bacteria break down organic matter, releasing carbon dioxide and other potent greenhouse gases; photosynthetic microbes do the opposite, pulling CO2 out of the air and releasing oxygen. […] Avi Flamholz, who joins The Rockefeller University faculty in January 2025 as assistant professor and head of the Laboratory of Environmental Microbiology, is dedicated to advancing this critical research.

Extreme ‘heat dome’ hitting Olympics ‘impossible’ without global heating

The “heat dome” causing scorching temperatures across western Europe and north Africa, and boiling athletes and spectators at the Olympic Games in Paris, would have been impossible without human-caused global heating, a rapid analysis has found.
“Climate change crashed the Olympics on Tuesday,” said Dr Friederike Otto […]

Global Study Reveals a Powerful Hidden Way Trees Are Fighting Climate Change

Tree bark in the world’s forests absorbs the greenhouse gas methane, my colleagues and I have demonstrated for the first time on a global scale – a discovery that could have big implications for tackling climate change . As trees photosynthesise, their leaves take up carbon […]
